A temperature adjustment method of an optical disc device is provided to adjust a temperature of a set by detecting an operating current provided when an optical pickup is operated and sensing a temperature change according to relation between the detected operating current and an optical power. A microcomputer detects an operating current supplied to an optical pickup to generate an optical power for a recording or reproducing operation of an optical disc(S10,S11). The microcomputer detects a state in which an internal temperature of a set is increased according to a change state of the detected operating current(S12). The microcomputer performs temperature adjustment for reducing the internal temperature of the set(S13-S16).
