<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain the transmissibility of additional information and document information while avoiding double printing of both the information and to form the additional information reflecting user's intention at a position where the additional information is to be formed. <P>SOLUTION: In an image forming apparatus comprising an image forming means for forming a synthetic image on a recording medium by composing additional image data with inputted document image data, the document image data are divided into a plurality of areas, a ratio of an image portion is detected for each of the divided areas, a divided area with the least ratio is specified as a position where an image of the additional image data is to be formed, and image formation is then performed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
