FLUE GAS TREATMENT METHOD AND PRODUCTION METHOD OF FLUE GAS TREATMENT AGENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method of a flue gas treatment agent which can inexpensively and easily obtain a highly-reactive hydrated lime suitable as a flue gas treatment agent by adding only water without adding alcohols, organic compounds or inorganic compounds in a slaking step of production steps, and to provide a flue gas treatment method.

SOLUTION: A lime cake is calcined to give a quick lime and this quick lime is slaked with only water and in the mass ratio of the quick lime to water (the H2O/CaO mass ratio) of 0.6 or more to produce the hydrated lime as the flue gas treatment agent. The hydrated lime is sprayed in a stack and is made to contact with an exhaust gas containing an acidic gas so that the acidic gas is removed.
