<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a performance evaluation device for evaluating performance of a user for that required by a system and deciding the process of a story according to the evaluation result. <P>SOLUTION: An image and sound of performance of the user are inputted via an input apparatus to be fed to recognition apparatuses about respective modals, the respective recognition apparatuses supply data of recognition results to a performance evaluation apparatus 18. Then, the performance evaluation apparatus 18 calculates a performance evaluation value for the user and a total evaluation value by using the recognition result data and user performance teacher data fed from a scenario controller 19 to supply performance evaluation result data to the scenario controller 19. Subsequently, the scenario controller 19 feeds the user performance teacher data to the performance evaluation apparatus 18 and feeds operation action data to an agent controller 20.
