<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electronic equipment improving operability by notifying a user of information for supporting operations. <P>SOLUTION: In a step S305, the number i of times of pressing down a fast forward key is initialized to 0, and in a step S310, the value of i is increased by one. In the succeeding step S315, whether a fast forward state continues for five seconds or more is determined, if the fast forward state continues for five seconds or more, advancing is made to a step S320, and if not, advance is made to a step S330. In the step S320, explanation about Jump is displayed and advancing is made to the step S330. Here, the Jump is displayed for 10 seconds.
