摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a water absorptive resin with high water absorbing magnification capable of exercising enough water absorptive capacity even at a small amount of the resin, when used as an absorbent such as sanitary materials. SOLUTION: This absorptive resin is manufactured by polymerizing an aqueous monomer solution containing an ammonium unsaturated carboxylate under a condition satisfying following requirements of (1)-(4): (1) the ammonium unsaturated carboxylate is≥50 mole% based on a 100 mole% radical-polymerizable monomer component in the aqueous monomer solution, (2) a monomer concentration is >40 wt% in the aqueous monomer solution, (3) a nonionic surfactant of an HLB of 4.5-12 is used, and (4) a reversed phase suspension polymerization is conducted in which the aqueous monomer solution is suspended in an organic solvent to be polymerized.
