PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hair treatment agent which can solve the problems of hardness and stiff feeling of the hair, can give hair softness and wet feeling, and can make the hair well settled, when applied to the hair damaged inside. SOLUTION: The hair treating agent contains at least two kinds of dicarboxylic acid esters and a lipid component. As the dicarboxylic acid ester, a combination of adipic acid diester and sebacic acid diester is preferable, and as the lipid component, a cholesterol derivative is preferable.
