A culture apparatus accommodating culture vessels for cell culturing, built with the intent to reduce any thermal influence of observation section on the interior of thermostatic vessel. The culture apparatus is characterized by including a thermostatic vessel equipped with stacker for accommodating multiple culture vessels for cell culturing; and an observation section as follows. The observation section includes an objective lens for observing of cells inside the culture vessels, disposed in isolation from the atmosphere within the thermostatic vessel and placed on an observation position within the thermostatic vessel; an objective lens driving unit; and a camera unit.
