<p>A method for downloading software of a telematics terminal is provided to reduce time needed for downloading the software to the telematics terminal by setting an IP(Internet Protocol) to each telematics terminal, making an IP table, and loading the compressed software to a memory of each telematics terminal after connecting to the IP of the corresponding telematics terminal. If power is applied to the telematics terminal, the IP is set to the telematics terminal to download the software from a download server(S20). The telematics terminal downloads the software from the download server by connecting to the download server with the IP stored in a memory(S50). The telematics terminal operates the software by decompressing the downloaded software, loading the decompressed software to the memory, and performing rebooting(S70). The download server compresses and stores the software for operating the telematics terminal, and stores a decompressing program, the IP table, and a version information file of the software.</p> |
