SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MANAGING DIET BY USING RFID

A system and a method for managing diet with an RFID(Radio Frequency IDentification) are provided to enable a diet management system embedded in a refrigerator to generate/offer calorie and diet information for food by making an RFID reader of the refrigerator recognize an RFID tag attached to the food and transmit the recognized information to the diet management system. The RFID reader(210) reads the information for the food by recognizing the RFID tag(250) attached to the food. The diet management system(100) calculates the calorie information for the food by receiving the food information from the RFID reader and generates the diet information based on the calorie information. An information output part(200) outputs the information including the calorie/diet information received from the diet management system. The RFID reader recognizes the RFID tag and transmits the food information to the diet management system whenever the food attached with the RFID tag is put in or out from the refrigerator.
