A display device and a control method thereof are provided to obtain uniform brightness on the display device by compensating for the degradation of a driving TFT(Thin Film Transistor). A display device includes a driving transistor(200), a pixel electrode(40), a detection transistor(300), and a controller(70). The pixel electrode is electrically connected to the driving transistor. The detection transistor detects the magnitude of an electrical signal, which is delivered from the driving TFT to the pixel electrode. The controller compares the detected electrical signal with a predetermined reference value, and adjusts a data voltage, which is applied on the pixel electrode, when the difference is greater than a predetermined allowable value.
