PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a static eliminator enabled to be installed at a short distance capable of eliminating static electricity while preventing extreme rise of surface potential of a work, in case the eliminator is installed in a short distance from the work. SOLUTION: A plurality of discharge needles 5a, 5b are installed in a retainer member 4 equipped with an air blow-out port 6 blowing out air around these discharge needles, and a cover 8 formed of a conductive porous material for covering the discharge needles 5a, 5b is fitted to the retainer member 4. The cover 8 has a function of releasing ionized air uniformly from its surface and absorbing part of the ion generated in conduction with the ground. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
