PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water flow detector of simple structure for a fire extinguishing facility capable of reducing size. SOLUTION: A paddle 20 turnable by a water flow is supported in an outer position of a peripheral edge of a valve element 16, inside a secondary side valve chest in a check valve casing 11a, the paddle 20 is arranged to bring a turning end 20' thereof into a position of approaching a side edge of the valve element 16, without overlapping a paddle face thereof with the valve element 16, a switch operation member 20a' is provided in an opposite side of the turning end 20' of the paddle 20, a water flow detecting switch 22 is provided to be driven by the switch operation member 20a', and the water flow detecting switch 22 is driven by a motion of the switch operation member 20a' based on the turning of the paddle 20.
