The system has an electric steering wheel locking system (2). This has a control unit (3) and an unlocking device. This is activated by the control unit, following a successful authentication, to unlock the steering wheel, either in a normal mode or a keyless go mode. A locking device is activated by the control unit to lock the steering wheel. An electric ignition lock (5) is provided with a control unit. In normal operating mode, an electronic key (8) in the electronic ignition lock deactivates the locking device via the control unit. In keyless go operation, a removable knob (6) in the electronic lock deactivates the locking unit by a rotational movement via the control unit. |
