<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an expansion shaft for steering of a vehicle capable of more smoothly transmitting torque in rotating it by reducing the influence on a steering feeling much more. <P>SOLUTION: This expansion shaft for steering of the vehicle constituted by forming torque transmitting grooves 27, 28 extending in the axial direction of a male shaft 21 and a female shaft 22 to spline-fit on each other on an outer peripheral surface of the male shaft 21 and an inner peripheral surface of the female shaft 22 and arranging a torque transmitting pin 29 to be engaged with the torque transmitting grooves 27, 28 between the male shaft 21 and the female shaft 22 is devised to reduce sliding resistance of a sliding part of the torque transmitting grooves 27, 28 and the torque transmitting pin 29 by forming a solid lubricating film 30 made of a solid lubricant at an area rate of more than 75% on an outer peripheral surface of the torque transmitting pin 29 and/or groove surfaces of the torque transmitting grooves 27, 28. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
