<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recorder in which visibility of line irregularity due to nonejection or the like can be reduced without requiring specification of abnormality of nozzle and the size and cost can be reduced, and to provide a recording method. <P>SOLUTION: The inkjet recorder comprises a means (13) for adhering processing liquid dots (92) on a recording medium in irregular distribution, and a means (50) for adhering ink dots (94) containing a color material onto the recording medium to which the processing liquid dots (92) are adhered depending on image data. Since irregularity is imparted to arrangement of the processing liquid dots (92), the ink dots (94) move randomly by surface tension.
