PSCA: PROSTATE STEM CELL ANTIGEN AND USE THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new prostate cell-surface antigen, designated prostate stem cell antigen (PSCA), which is widely over-expressed across all stages of prostate cancer, including high grade prostatic intraepithelial neoplasia (PIN), androgen-dependent and androgen-independent prostate tumors.

SOLUTION: The invention relates to a method for prolonging the life of a patient affected by cancer relating to PSCA. The material contains a step to administer an examinee with a definite amount of an antibody selectively binding with PSCA over a period sufficiently long to inhibit the proliferation of the cancer cell and prolongs the life of the examinee.
