<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission apparatus test system capable of automatically particularizing a suspicious fault location on the occurrence of an intermittent error frame wherein particularization of the suspicious fault location is otherwise difficult. <P>SOLUTION: When receiving an error frame, a fault monitor section A11 makes a test request to a test control section A12. Upon the receipt of the test request, the test control section A12 transmits a test request frame to a test control section B22. When receiving the test request frame, the test control section B22 returns a test acknowledgement frame to the test control section A12 and applies loopback setting to a test function section B23, which transmits a test frame for checking the error frame. When receiving the test acknowledgement frame, the test control section A12 applies loopback setting to a test function section A13, which transmits a test frame for checking the error frame. The test control section A12 particularizes the suspicious fault location on the basis of a test result report frame from the test control section B22 and a test result of its own apparatus and informs a maintenance personnel about the result of particularization. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
