<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a denture which retains the denture and a residual ridge easily and inexpensively without using a denture stabilizing agent and is easily attached and detached, and its fabricating method. <P>SOLUTION: In the denture 1 having a prosthetic tooth 2 and a baseplate 3 holding the prosthetic tooth, an elastomer 4 with a gap part in the inside is entirely or partially buried in the baseplate 3. Especially, the retaining force of the denture and the residual ridge is increased more, and the suction of the air inside the elastomer or the infusion of the air into the place where the elastomer exists is performed easily since the baseplate 3 has the elastomer 4 on a contact surface with a surface of mucous membranes. Moreover, since the elastomer 4 is located in the neighborhood of the center of the contact surface, the denture and the residual ridge are retained in a balanced manner without having disproportionate suction force. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
