<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coordinate input pen capable of correctly detecting an input position even when the pressure of a pen is changed without making a drive circuit of the coordinate input pen complex. <P>SOLUTION: The coordinate input pen is provided with a pen front end 20 including an ultrasonic wave oscillating part 40 for oscillating an ultrasonic wave and an ultrasonic wave outgoing opening 20d for emitting the oscillated ultrasonic wave, which is slidable inside a pen housing 10 to thereby constitute an ultrasonic wave propagation path 20b in which the distance between the ultrasonic wave oscillating part 40 and the ultrasonic wave outgoing opening 20d is fixed.
