PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling device for an air conditioner capable of carrying out cooling by a small air amount and low noise by improving an effect of cooling a heat generating apparatus. SOLUTION: The cooling device for the air conditioner has a condenser 2, a radiating fin 4, a cooling fan 7, a motor 8, and a cylindrical orifice 10 comprised of an inner diameter larger than a fan outer diameter to surround the cooling fan 7, and a length to a cooling fan 7 rear end. Heat generating apparatuses such as a compressor 11 and an electrical component box 12 are provided in a rear of the cooling fan 7. Since cooling air passing through the orifice 10 is exhausted in a fan axial direction, the cooling air can be efficiently blown on the heat generating apparatuses, a desired cooling effect can be provided by a small air amount, and noise can be lowered.
