PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance support rigidity of an air cleaner to an engine, in an installation device to the engine of the air cleaner for cleaning and introducing outside air to a general purpose engine. SOLUTION: The air cleaner AC is arranged in parallel on one side of the engine E. A lower part of its cleaner cover body 10 is integrally joined to and supported by the engine E together with a carburetor 4 by a pair of connecting bolts 22 and 23. A reinforcing vertical wall part 37 of the cleaner cover body 10 opposed with clearance to the engine E, is integrally joined to and supported by the engine E by the other one connecting bolt 24.
