PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a forcedly air-cooled engine capable of favorably guiding outside air to a cooling fan, and preventing ingress of foreign matters in the cooling fan. SOLUTION: In the forcedly air-cooled engine 10, a foreign matters removing member 19 is provided on the upstream side of a cooling fan 14. The foreign matters removing member 19 comprises an annular body 82 in which an annular ring circumferential wall 86 is interposed between the cooling fan 14 and a recoil starter 18, and a circumferential wall introduction hole 87 for introducing the outside air is formed in the ring circumferential wall 86, a flange 83 which is expanded from the annular body 82 outwardly in the radial direction and mounted on the cooling fan 14 while an outer circumferential edge 83a faces an inner circumferential edge 17a of an opening part 17, and a fin 84 which is protruded from the ring circumferential wall 86 outwardly in the radial direction, and capable of preventing ingress of foreign matters 90 inward of the annular body 82 by removing the foreign matters 90 outside the annular body 82.
