PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shampoo composition that can impart dampness to scalp without irritation and excellent finish feeling to hair while exhibiting detergency sufficient to remove sebum or dirt plugging skin pores in scalp. SOLUTION: The shampoo composition comprises (A) a polyoxyethylene alkyl ether sulfate and/or a polyoxyethylene alkyl ether acetate, (B) a sulfosuccinic acid alkyl salt and/or a sulfosuccinic acid polyoxyethylene alkyl salt, (C) an amide propyl betaine amphoteric surfactant and/or an aminoacetic acid betaine amphoteric surfactant, (D) a fatty acid alkylolamide, (E) a cationic polymer, and (F) an amino acid and/or a salt thereof.
