PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recording device which does not come close to a rotating center of a recording paper tip end sensor and damage or leave a hit mark on recording paper. SOLUTION: The image recording device comprises one paper feeding roller for feeding sheets, one separating means for separating the sheets, a carrying roller carrying the separated sheets, and a sensor lever for detecting a tip end of the sheet by abutting on the tip end in a carrying passage through which the sheets are carried.
