PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container for a rolled article which is capable of carrying the rolled article and storing it without being damaged by fixing the rolled article on a bearing stand, and easily and rapidly storing the rolled article without damaging it. SOLUTION: The container 10 for the rolled article has a container body 101 equipped with the bearing stand 11 for supporting both end parts of a core 2 of the rolled article 1, and a container cover 102 freely removably mounted on the container body 101 and storing the rolled article 1 and the bearing stand 11. The bearing stand 11 is equipped with a pair of side wall panels 111a and 111b facing each other approximately in parallel and arranged so as to approximately intersect the core 2 at right angles. The height of one wall face is lower than the other, and respective wall faces are provided with bearing parts 13a and 13b each having substantially recessed cross-section so as to horizontally position and support the core 2.
