PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems in the pest control using sexual pheromone, wherein (1) the difficulty in obtaining of a mass of a synthetic product is present and expense is required, (2) the installation of traps or radiators (communication-disturbing agent) so that the pheromone-generating agent may cover the whole estimated range of action of pest insects, the amount of the pheromone preparation and the labor for attachment are required, and (3) the successive radiation of the pheromone for the period when the target pest insects can mate is required. SOLUTION: The creation of a transformed plant capable of producing the sexual pheromone is achieved by a genetic recombination method, and the pest insect can be controlled by using the sexual pheromone-producing plant.
