The invention relates to a communication transfer method for an IP network having hierarchical mobility management, comprising an anchor point (P1) connected to first (R1) and second (R2) access routers and to a home agent (EA) of a mobile node (T1), having first local and regional temporary addresses and communicating with another node (T2). The inventive method consists, in the event the second access router (R2) is detected by mobile node (T1), of: i) communicating, to the latter, the address prefix of the second access router (R2) so that it constitutes a second local temporary address; ii) communicating, to the anchor point (P1), the second local temporary address, the first regional temporary address and an item of information data having a value that signals a temporary dual addressing so that it records this second local temporary address matching the first temporary regional address, then transmitting, to the first and second access routers, the packets intended for mobile node (T1), and; iii) disconnecting the mobile node (T1) from the first access router (R1) followed by deleting, from the anchor point (P1), the record of the first local temporary address of mobile node (T1) in order to transmit, to the latter, the packets intended therefor via the home agent (EA), the anchor point (P1) and the second access device (R2). |
