A solid state electrolyte capacitor is formed by layered solid state electrolyte capacitor elements having an anode portion and a cathode portion. The solid state electrolyte capacitor has a layered structure of the cathode portions of the solid state electrolyte capacitor elements, wherein the layered solid electrolyte capacitor elements are in shifted positions. It is preferable that the end of the cathode portion of at least one of the solid state electrolyte capacitor elements layered above protrude or retreat than the end of the cathode portion of the solid state electrolyte capacitor element below. It is possible to provide a solid state electrolyte capacitor having electric characteristic such as equivalent series resistance or leak current reduced.
