A method for storing a received message in a mobile communication terminal is provided to conveniently store and manage a message received from a terminal of a specific phone number, and to set a locking function to a specific message. A method for storing a received message in a mobile communication terminal comprises the following several steps. A controller checks whether a key for generating a new message storage box is pushed(201). If so, the controller displays a name for a message storage box, differentiated from a general message storage box, and an inputting window for inputting one and more specific numbers(203). The controller checks whether an inputting termination key is pushed(205). If so, the controller generates a corresponding message storage box(207). The controller checks whether a message is received and checks whether the received message comes from the terminal of the specific(209). If so, the controller stores the message at the message storage box generated through a specific call sending number(211). The controller checks whether the message storage box, where the received message is stored, is a storage box preset for displaying the content of the received message on a display unit(213). If so, the controller displays the receipt of the message on the display unit by using an icon and displays the content of the message(215).
