<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing method capable of clearly reproduce fine line parts of an image in an outputted image when an object included in an inputted image is a line image and a character image. <P>SOLUTION: At the first step 200, the object is extracted from an image drawing command. Thereafter, at a step 202, it is judged whether the object is a line or not from the image drawing command for the extracted object. When the object is a line, the step is shifted to a step 204, and gradation correcting information is formed to the object so that raster data are gradation-corrected in accordance with the thickness of the line. Then, at a step 206, an image drawing processing (raster data formation) using the gradation correcting information is performed to the object, and at a step 208, it is judged whether the whole object is extracted or not.
