<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique by which a desired condition can be set by a comparatively small number of operations in various kinds of electric appliances such as a cellular phone. <P>SOLUTION: On a display 12, a condition setting screen G1 including a surface attachment setting choice arranging surface Sa on which a plurality of choices are arranged on a virtual surface for each setting item, a double-sided setting choice arranging surface Sb, and a pointer Pt is displayed. Then, a position occupied by the pointer Pt on the condition setting screen G1 is moved and arranged at one location, and thus, choices for respective choice arranging surfaces Sa and Sb are respectively simultaneously selected.
