<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of becoming impossible to print an image file of a file format unpermitted by capability of a printer. <P>SOLUTION: The capability of the printer is acquired by the communication connection between DSC and the printer (S3), and UI is constructed on the basis of its capability (S4), and the image file printable by its printer is extracted from a plurality of image files stored in a memory card (S5), and the image file of a printing object is selected from its extracted image file (S6).
