<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a workload of failure handling and prevent secondary failure when a failure occurs. <P>SOLUTION: If failure handling information having the same model information and failure information as device failure information sent from a digital multifunction machine is on a failure handling information list stored in an HDD (122), update programs are extracted from the matching failure handling information according to the priority number of the failure handling information and update history information in the device failure information (124).
