<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anti-inflammatory which is safer and excels in anti-inflammatory effect. <P>SOLUTION: Each compound of isobavachalcone, xanthoangelol, 4-hydroxyderricin, xanthoangelol F or 2''-hydroxyxanthoangelol I, laserpitin, isolaserpitin, selinidin, pteryxin, 3'-senecioyl k-lactone or 4'-senecioyl k-lactone, prostratol F or mundulea flavanone B to be isolated from the yellow sap of Angelica keiskei is used as an anti-inflammatory.
