<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring device, a monitoring method and an information processing apparatus that can reliably identify a failed part even in a structurally complicated information processing apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A CPU 200, a memory 300 and a memory 301 exchange control signals and data via buses. The monitoring device 100 not only monitors the buses to detect a failure but also monitors the operating state of the CPU 200, memory 300 and memory 301 via signal lines 21 to 23 connected to the devices.
