PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rod-retaining tool in which a fishing rod and the rod-retaining tool are not readily drawn into sea even when the rod-retaining tool, etc., is drawn from a fish even in a case where it is difficult to fix the rod-retaining tool on something e.g. a breakwater. SOLUTION: In the rod-retaining tool, the fishing rod is retained in longitudinal two points and forward grounding point of the rod-retaining tool is kept at a position arranged close to an extension line passing through a forward rod-retaining point and a backward rod-retaining point and the extension line passing through the forward rod-retaining point and the backward rod-retaining point is retained so as to cross with a plane extending the ground in the direction on the ear tip side of the fishing rod from the forward grounding point of the rod-retaining tool. Thereby, ear tip side of the fishing rod is retained in a state lowered to the position lower than the ground of the breakwater. As a result, the rod-retaining tool has high stability of the rod-retaining tool to a fall and high stability of the rod-retaining tool to slippage to the ground. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
