<p>A connection-oriented protocol controller has a prefetch engine to obtain payload data that is destined to a remote node, before a connection is established with the remote node. A number of buffers are provided. Each buffer is associated with a different remote node with which a connection is to be established. The payload data is to be sent to that node from its associated buffer. Other embodiments are also described and claimed.</p> |
