A reset pop suppression apparatus for an audio system is provided to turn off firstly an external amplifier when performing a reset command. In a state that an audio system is turned on and the power of an external amplifier(20) is on, when a reset signal having a low level is generated by a user's reset button manipulation, the reset signal is applied to a base terminal of the first transistor so that the first transistor(40) is turned on. The high signal is applied to a base terminal of the second transistor according to the turn on operation of the first transistor so that the second transistor is turned on. The reset signal with a low level is applied to an inverter(30) so that the amplifier control signal is converted into a signal with a low level and the power of the external amplifier is off.
