<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suitably detect an object having a characteristic in color. <P>SOLUTION: This object detecting device 1 comprises: imaging parts 10<SB>1</SB>to 10<SB>M</SB>for photographing an imaging area and generating a plurality of spectral images whose frequency areas are different from one another; template characteristic calculating parts 14<SB>1</SB>to 14<SB>T</SB>for using preliminary learned template information and calculating a template characteristic amount of each of the spectral images; first discrimination devices 16<SB>1</SB>to 16<SB>T</SB>for using a preliminary learned discriminant function and judging whether to include a detection object in the images about each template characteristic amount; and a second discrimination device 18 for judging whether to include the detection object in the images on the basis of judgement results of the first discrimination devices. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
