<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new composition that exhibits harmful animal-repelling actions. <P>SOLUTION: The composition for repelling harmful animals (animals which damage man, goods or the like, for example a wild bore, a bear or the like) comprises as effective ingredients extracts obtained by extracting from black rice straw (which is obtained by drying stems of a rice plant of a pigment-containing rice containing anthocyanin purple coloring matter in rind/seedcase parts) using a solvent, for example, water, an alcohol or the like or using steam.
