PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery charge control system that can properly charge a battery as required even for a vehicle mounted with an economy running function.

SOLUTION: The battery charge control system employed to the vehicle mounted with the economy running function includes: a means that executes certain control including battery charge control A in order to achieve a certain purpose; a means that prohibits the execution of the battery charge control A during the stop of an engine by the economy running function; a means that executes another control including battery charge control B in order to achieve another purpose; and a means that prohibits the stop of the engine by the economy running function during the execution of the battery charge control B.
