PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connecting device which reduces any breakage caused by variation in the height of protrusion of a projecting connection terminal on the mating connector component compared with the existing connecting devices. SOLUTION: A connector A served as a connecting device incorporates a base 11 having an insert 11a, wherein a connection terminal is inserted into each of positions corresponding to many projecting connection terminals on the mating connector served as a mating connector component. A movable section 13 is attached away from the base 11 at the inside of each insert 11a on the base 11, and is provided with a contact 14 wherein connection terminals are connected or disconnected. Four support springs 12 interlock the base 11 with the movable section 13 in the inside of each insert 11a on the base 11, and shift the movable section 13 to a direction of the thickness of the base 11.
