PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording/reproducing device which can efficiently store description for operating the device during the device manufacture, into the device. SOLUTION: This recording/reproducing device automatically copies the recorded description of the device operation method to an HDD, when the optical disk is inserted in the recording/reproducing device.
