PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a linear motor, wherein the increase in the size of a moving member and the number of parts is suppressed and further the insulation properties of a coil wire and the like can be ensured. SOLUTION: The linear motor includes a stator 2 formed into a shape of a shaft by serially disposing multiple magnets 4 so that the same magnetic poles of adjacent magnets 4 face each other; the moving member 3 that has an electromagnetic coil 13 and is so disposed that it can be moved along the outer circumferential surface of the stator 2; and a printed board 18 in which a wiring pattern 20 to be connected with a terminal portion of a coil wire 15 that constitutes the electromagnetic coil 13 is formed, and at least a face, on which the wiring pattern 20 has not been formed, is formed of an insulating material.
