PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a waxing device for textile machinery to manufacture a cross-winding bobbin of a type which has a supporting shaft connected with a drive device, in which a waxing member is supported by the supporting shaft not to be relatively rotated but to be axially slidable, and in which waxing member is rotatable in a fixed casing, and thereby to provide a waxing device in which disadvantageous scraping off of paraffin particle can be avoided and the scraped paraffin brought by a traveling yarn beyond control is not collected in an area of the waxing device. SOLUTION: The wax container 41 is connected with the supporting shaft 58 not to be rotatable, the waxing member 18 is disposed in the wax container 41. To put wax on the yarn 16, the wax container 41 is rotatable in the fixed casing 23 of the waxing device 19, together with the waxing member 18. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
