A trimming and harvesting system and a method are provided to reduce the weight, to harvest fruits positioned high and to improve work speed and efficiency by remote-controlling decision of a target position and the operation of an end effector by an operator with watching an image. The trimming and harvesting system(10) is composed of a working base(100); a manipulator(200) having a vertical arm expanded or contracted in a vertical direction to the working base and a horizontal arm connected to the vertical arm and expanded or contracted at right angle to the vertical arm; and an end effector(300) disposed at one end of the horizontal arm and equipped with devices guiding, holding, and cutting a branch(1) of the object.
