A common cold treating pharmaceutical composition is provided to neutralize bitter taste of analgesia, antitussives/expectorants and antihistamines, and provide freshness when being taken orally, without causing dental caries. The common cold treating pharmaceutical composition comprises at least one medicine selected from the group consisting of analgesia such as acetaminophen and lysozyme hydrochloride, antitussives/expectorants such as dextromethrophan HBr and DL-methylephedrine Hydrochloride, and antihistamines such as chlorpheniramine maleate, and xylitol, the amount of which is 10-100 times regarding the weight of the medicine, and pharmaceutically acceptable additive.
