<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust system with a catalyst and a motorcycle having this exhaust system, capable of maximally exhibiting cleaning performance of catalytic converters, by introducing all exhaust gases introduced from an exhaust pipe to expansion chambers without leakage. <P>SOLUTION: A muffler 23 is connected to the downstream side of the exhaust pipe 21 deriving the exhaust gas G from an engine E; and has a muffler case 30 having the expansion chambers 43, 44, 47 and 48 inside, an exhaust gas introducing passage 49 introducing the exhaust gas G from the exhaust pipe 21 to the expansion chambers 43, 44, 47 and 48, the exhaust emission control catalytic converters 51 and 52 installed in a downstream part of the exhaust gas introducing passage 49 and positioned on the upstream side of the expansion chambers 43, 44, 47 and 48, and an exhaust component detecting sensor 31 arranged outside the muffler case 30 in the exhaust gas introducing passage 49. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
