<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display the status of a remote job relating to a network device on the user interface of the device. <P>SOLUTION: A job key 208 can operate to include information 210A for a local job to be processed in a local device 202 and information 210C for a remote job to be processed in a remote device (a server 206A) connected in communication with the local device 202. The local device 202 starts the job and transmits information for the job to the remote device for processing the job. The local device 202 receives information for the status of the remote job to be processed in the remote device.
